I have seen another version of this featuring post secondary students. It would be far more interesting to take this to a second level where these digital learners explain in their own words their whatever, wherever and whenever practices. How do they use technology at home? At school? What have they created and what would they like to create? What does it mean " to engage me"?
ReplyDeleteThe message with these 16 students was staged. The cue cards were created ahead of time and when directed to do so, each one raised the card for the camera. The video is a good wake-up call for all teachers but it is too contrived. Having these digital students use more creative strategies to make their point would have been far more powerful. The medium would have been a more poignant message.
Excellent Comment Giselle! I think you have a great next step!! Well written and thought out as always! M ;-)
